IMMOKALEE, Fla. – There was a fatal crash on Interstate-75 near mile marker 77 before 6:15 p.m. in Immokalee, according to Florida Highway Patrol. One person was transported to a hospital in a helicopter and another died at the scene after their white sedan’s tire blew out and they lost control, landing in the grassy medium. The inside northbound and southbound lanes were closed for emergency vehicles, according to authorities. Traffic is continuing in both directions in the outside lanes. No further information was available.
