JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a woman who may have been abducted in Jacksonville.
The Florida Times-Union ( ) reports a woman believed to be in her 20s rang the doorbell at a home around 10:15 p.m. Monday and asked for help. At some point during the conversation, a man showed up, put the woman in a car and drove away.
Jacksonville Sheriff's spokesman Shannon Hartley says the woman "indicated she didn't want to go."
The vehicle was a white, four-door sedan with tinted windows with chrome rims.
Police say they are investigating the case as an abduction even though it could have been a dispute. They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
