CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Getting a "hole in one" is no doubt an exciting feat in the game of golf. And only a few people can say they've hit an "ace" more than once! Two good friends who are celebrating a birthday Monday also have that to celebrate.
You can often find 83 year old Charles Schnuth, taking swings at Cape Coral's Hunters Run Executive Golf Course.
"I like the outdoors and I like the exercise it provides," Schnuth said.
Monday at lucky hole Number 7. "I used a 9-iron and hit a very good shot," he said. He made the money shot!
"The ball was still visible, we didn't know it was a hole in one until we got up there on the green. And then the flag moved and the ball dropped into the cup. I was surprised and of course very happy! About the situation," he said.
This isn't his first hole in one, But he's got to keep up with his friend Harry Colter.
Colter is celebrating his 91st birthday and has quite a track record
"I've got 10. 10 holes in one. At this course. The best one was a hole in 3," he said.
His secret? "Get a little older. More experience," he laughed.
Proving in the game of life and golf, you don't always have to stay on par. "Keep moving. keep the brain going," Colter.
