ENGLEWOOD, Fla.- Three Englewood residents were arrested on Burglary and Grand Theft charges Friday, after they allegedly broke into an adjoining apartment where Sheriff's Office's Narcotics detectives had served a search warrant and arrested three other people.

Narcotics detectives served a search warrant on Friday at 1601-B Florence Avenue. During the search, they located 12 Hydromorphone pills, one Morphine pill and paraphernalia with residue that tested positive for opiates. They also located a grinder with residue that tested positive for marijuana.

The three people found inside the residence were arrested. Christopher Lee Prew, 41, of that address, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on a $3,500 bond.

Kelly Jane Gallagher, 43, of 1288 Shoreview Drive, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. She was being held on a $9,000 bond as set by the court on these charges. She is being held without bond due to previous charges for which she was out on bond.

Peter Herbert, 44, of the same Florence Avenue address, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia concerning the results of the search warrant. He was also charged with Sale and Delivery of Hydromorphone and Possession of Hydromorphone in reference to a transaction that allegedly occurred in June. In that case, undercover Narcotics detectives met with Herbert and purchased three Dilaudid pills for $105. He was being held on a total $22,500 bond as set by court order on these charges. He is being held without bond on previous charges for which he was out on bond.

After Narcotics detectives completed their search and secured 1601-B Florence Avenue, the Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting that three people had just broken into the apartment. The caller told deputies the three people had used what appeared to be a knife to open the front door. All three entered the apartment and two were seen leaving the apartment carrying out property. The man went back into the duplex and removed a black bicycle.

Deputies located the three people at the adjoining apartment, 1601-A Florence Avenue. Christina Marie Cowan, 28, and Shaun Patrick Monahan, 33, both of 1601-A Florence Avenue, and Jessica Kay Kieck, 26, of 10219 Stonecrop Avenue, were arrested. All three were charged with Burglary and Grand Theft. Kieck was also charged with Violation of Probation. The bicycle was recovered and returned to the apartment it was taken from. The apartment was re-secured.

Cowan is being held on $5,000 bond on the burglary charge and without bond by court order on the theft charge. She is also being held without bond on previous charges for which she was out on bond.

Monahan is being held on $20,000 bond by court order on these charges and without bond on previous charges for which he was out on bond.

Kieck is being held on $15,000 bond on the burglary and theft charges. She is being held without bond on the violation of probation charge.
