FORT MYERS, Fla.- A Fort Myers man accused of having and making child pornography faced a federal judge Thursday.  Brian Harling is accused of having hundreds of explicit photos and videos of children.  Special agents say Harling appears in some of the videos engaging in sex acts with children younger than five.

Harling has been jailed since Monday.  He told a judge Thursday his detainment has made it difficult for him to coordinate his finances and hire an attorney.

United States Magistrate Judge Douglas Frazier postponed Harling's detention hearing to Monday.  Harling has until then to hire a lawyer, before one is appointed to him.

A sworn affidavit show Brian Harling was busted when a tenant discovered several USB drives containing hundreds of explicit images in the apartment he rented to her.

Harling's tenant also mentioned that in one meeting with Harling "stated that her 20-month-old daughter had 'seductive eyes'."

Fort Myers Police discovered two additional flash drives upon searching the apartment. Police saythe photos were taken between 2008 and 2010.

Harling is believed to have produced 260 of the pictures and videos, according to court documents.  Harling will stay behind bars ahead of Monday's detention hearing.
