COLLIER COUNTY, FL - "It was a beautiful day, family oriented, it was great. Everyone had a wonderful time," said Battalion Chief Bill Moyer.

Naples Battalion Chief Bill Moyer was at the picnic with other fire fighters including Corey Adamski, his pregnant wife Kristina, and their two young children. They all left around the same time.

"It was just a few moments later that we saw some tail lights coming on where there was an intersection and kind of assumed something had happened."

Officials said Robert Bridwell was traveling east in the west-bound lane of State Road 82, when he hit the Adamski's SUV head on.

"It's sad, but I was very very grateful that they were all alive," said Moyer.

Moyer rushed in to help until other fire fighters and paramedics responded.

"They were talking to me, they told each other they loved each other and that they were sharing what was going on at the moment."

Doctors had to perform an emergency c-section on Kristina, who was 8 months pregnant.

"We certainly ask everybody to keep the family in their prayers and most certainly the baby at this time."

Fire fighters with the Naples Fire Department have opened a fund for the family. Donations can be made to the "Adamski Family Relief Fund" at any Fifth Third Bank location.
