LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened on the 2900 block of Lee Blvd. just before 11:30 last night.

The 50-year-old victim told deputies he was walking eastbound on Lee Blvd. when he heard someone running behind him. He turned to see three male teenagers approaching him. They were possibly 18 or 19 years of age. One was wearing a camouflage shirt and pants, with a black hat. Another was wearing a white tank top and black shorts. The victim couldn't describe the third suspect.

The victim said the man in camouflage put a gun to his chest, and asked him for his wallet and phone. The victim ran off to flag approaching vehicles. All three suspects ran toward 4th St. W.

During a K9 search of the area, a deputy made contact with a man who fit the description of the teen in camouflage, but the victim was unable to positively identify him as the suspect-in-question.

The investigation continues.
