PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A Fort Myers woman and two children were injured in a crash with another vehicle that happened at 8:00 a.m. on southbound I-75 at exit 164. The occupant of the other vehicle was unharmed.

Florida Highway Patrol said the driver, 39-year-old Tara Agnew, suffered only minor injuries after she hit the vehicle in front of her and traveled off the road, down an embankment, according to witnesses. The vehicle then caught on fire.

FHP said 6-year-old Johnny Agnew was seriously injured, and 7-year-old Tully Ann Agnew sustained minor injuries. All three people were taken to Peace River Regional.
