FORT MYERS, FL - Fort Myers police officers hit the streets as streetwalkers to catch men who solicit sex from prostitutes. The world's oldest profession is causing some store owners and residents who live and work near Cleaveland Avenue, a great deal of frustration. The streetwalkers, who can be seen at all hours of the day looking for customers, disrupt businesses and police say, lead to many more serious crimes. Undercover officers tell WINK News, the effort to put prostitiutes out of business will continue as long as the problem exists.
