COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A death investigation is under way after a man's boat hit a channel marker in Dollar Bay south of Naples.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said 61-year-old Neil Felder was in a 15-foot boat with two other people when it hit marker 71 head-on about 8 o'clock last night.

All three occupants were ejected from the boat. Felder was pronounced dead on the scene.

The vessel was being operated by its registered owner, Jeffrey Jackmack, at the time of the accident. Jackmack and one other passenger were injured in the crash.

FWC said alcohol is considered a factor in this collision.
