Update:  Cape Coral Police have arrested 36 yr old  Robert Napoli, of Cape Coral on charges of Robbery and Carrying Concealed Firearm Friday night.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Lucky Star convenience store at 437 Cape Coral Pkwy  Friday night. A review of the surveillance video

showed a white van park in the alley behind the store and a W/M suspect exit the van and walk out of frame. A few moments later, the suspect was seen

running back to the van and drive away.  Officers and Detectives reviewed numerous photos of white vans and believed to have found the correct

make/model. As officers were patrolling the area, a van (same make/model) was seen leaving a driveway in the area. A traffic stop was conducted and

officers discovered the driver had a loaded handgun concealed in the van.  The driver looked like the robbery suspect, therefore a "show up" was

conducted with the victim store clerk. The clerk positively identified the driver, Robert Napoli, as the robber from the Lucky Star.  Napoli confessed to the

robbery and was arrested.  Detectives contacted the clerk from Thursday night's robbery at the 7-Eleven at Chiquita Blvd/Gleason Pkwy and showed the

clerk a photo line up. The clerk positively identified Napoli as the person who robbed their store as well. Charges in that robbery are pending. Napoli is

currently in the Lee County Jail.  "This was outstanding police work on display. The cooperation between our Patrol Officers, Detectives, Forensics and

Communications personnel brought this string of robberies to an end and this violent felon is behind bars"-Lieutenant Tony Sizemore.
