FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- It's the gift that keeps on giving, and that's the motto one Fort Myers Beach family lives by. Blood donors have helped 12-year-old Dominik Culver stay alive.
Dominik has been battling an immune deficiency and a bleeding disorder for most of his young life. The donation of blood helps Dominik to keep fighting.
He and his family are hosting a blood a drive, as a way to say thank you and to help others who rely on blood to survive.
Right now, Dominik is in a Miami hospital getting treatment.
The blood drive will be held Monday, June 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bombdiggity Good Stuff, located at 16440 S. Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers.
Blood donors will receive a 50 percent off coupon to the store, a special gift and a wellness checkup.
You can also schedule a blood donation appointment for Monday by emailing Kim Culver at firstname.lastname@example.org.
