GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla. - Dozens of SWAT team members and deputies with the Collier County Sheriff's Office were on a mission at a home on 22 Avenue Northeast in Golden Gate Estates. Officials said they were serving a warrant for a suspected marijuana grow house. No one was inside the home.

"We know who they are, and we'd like to ask them about what they had in their backyard and that's obvious. And when we find them, we will," said Captain Harold J. Minch with the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

They say it looked like the owners knew thir operation was about to get busted.

"What they did, is they were in the process of disassembling it, believe they left in a hurry because they were expecting us," said Captain Minch.

But officials said they did leave a telling scent behind.

"You can smell the odor of raw marijuana from the house, you can smell it just as you walk around the corner."

That smell led them to this two-story large, barn-like building, with a marijuana grow house inside.

"Which was a barn at one point that had been converted into an upstairs and downstairs grow room..obviously for the purposes of growing high grade hydroponic marijuana," said Captain Minch.

Officials said this is an on-going investigation.
