FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run that happened on Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers. An unknown vehicle and a motor-powered bicycle were both traveling westbound. The bicyclist, 50-year-old Michael Stevens, says the other vehicle traveled out of its lane and into the bicycle lane where it struck the back of the bike.

The impact caused the bicyclist to fall and hit the back of his head. The other vehicle continued westbound without stopping.

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He could not recall a description of the vehicle. Anyone with information on the hit and run are asked to call FHP.
