NAPLES, Fla -- Collier County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a drive by shooting that happened in an East Naples neighborhood early Monday morning.

Roosevertte Toussaint is just 13 years old. Never in her life had she heard gun shots, but now she's counting bullet holes in her home.

"The television got two holes on it, it's cracked up, the couch has holes in it, the bullets went through the door and crashed into the TV," says Toussaint.

In total, 10 shots were fired into her family's home. "He shot up and down just to make sure he had killed the person he was looking for," says Toussaint.

But the family and the house were not the intended target. Deputies think the bullets were meant for a neighbor.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office discovered a neighbor was at the Circle K on Collier Boulevard and 41 East. They say he was confronted by a man, threatened and followed. Knowing he was being followed, the neighbor didn't go home, but because Roosevelt's mother drives a similar car, deputies believe the suspect thought he was firing on his intended target.

"If he had found the right house, my neighbor..his mom would have died because she was sleeping in the living room."

The Collier County Sheriff's Office is still searching for the person responsible for the shooting. In the meantime this East Naples family is counting their blessings that no one was hurt.

"It would have been tragic," says Toussaint.

Deputies describe the possible suspect as a black man in his 30's weighing over 200 pounds. He drives a white 2006 Impala with Florida Plates.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
