LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A Lee County Man accused of having hundreds of photos of child porn is out on bond tonight. Charles Nave III is now ordered to stay at his parents' Sanibel Island home. Despite the serious charges, some neighbors are standing by he and his family.

Nearly three dozen supporters from Sanibel Community Church gathered outside Judge Douglas Frasier's federal courtroom Thursday praying for Nave, a man prosecutors say downloaded and traded more than two-hundred images of naked children, some as young as three years old. Authorities say he admitted to having an addiction to porn and needed help.

We don't yet know who was in these graphic images, but we do know Nave spent much time around children as a staff member and lifeguard at Sanibel Community Center in the 90s and according to attorneys, coaches his childrens' basketball and soccer teams. Today, the judge released Nave on $250,000 bond, ordering him to home detention at his parents' Sanibel home.

The alleged crimes have the quiet community torn. The Nave family has lived on Sanibel Island for many years. The defendant's parents are leaders at Sanibel Community Church. While there is a strong showing of support, as one neighbor put it, they're very "tight-lipped."

No one would agree speak on-camera, but we did get a few of their thoughts. Some were distraught and dismissive, refusing to say anything. Others are shocked but say they support the Nave family, wish them all the best and hope Charles III gets the help he needs.

We attempted to contact the Nave family but got no answer. With the judge's ruling, Nave will not be allowed access to the internet or anyone under 18.
