CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Police Detectives are investigating an early morning robbery that occurred at the Bank of America, located at 926 Cape Coral Parkway East at 6:30 a.m.

According to police, a woman was in the drive-thru ATM attempting to withdraw money when a suspect, armed with a knife, jumped into the passenger seat of the vehicle. The female victim exited the car and the suspect moved over into the driver’s seat and fled in her vehicle. The suspect was last seen traveling south on Leonard Street from Cape Coral Parkway. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The suspect is described as Hispanic Male in his late teens or early 20’s, 5’7 to 5’8 in height, with a thin “chin-strap” style beard and braided hair.

The vehicle is a 2006 Silver Hyundai Sonata with Florida tag L59-0DP.
