COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Movies, stuffed animals, clothing, and car seats. It probably looks like the inside of your garage. But it's actually Fran Bratcher's labor of love: the Kids Crisis Closet.

"It's an obsession, it's a passion, its a way to do my stuff thing, sometimes I feel like a game show host," said Bratcher.

And the prizes are anything a family in times of crisis could need.

"So far we've gotten well over 800 primarily single moms and kids off the floor here in Collier County, into beds. Since we've doing this I've stopped counting it moves so fast sometimes I just don't even have the chance to record everything that gets done," said Bratcher.

The closet runs solely on donations. Even it's space was donated. And everything inside is given out to families for free.

"If it wasn't for her and this closet, there wouldn't be anything," said Delilah Bean.

"This is like Christmas, birthdays, and 4th of July all into one," said Penny Taylor.

Foster mom, Penny Taylor, said the closet is a gift to her and all of Collier County.

"When you have children, clothes wear out pretty fast, and there's never enough toys and some of them have never had toys, so they don't know how to treat them, there's breakage, so it's just part of raising foster children," said Taylor.

Things that turn into a home.

"Anybody has anything to give, call Ms. Fran, donate, donate, donate. Don't ever stop because it reaches so many families and everyone needs help every now and then," said Bean.

The store is open on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Call (239) 352-KIDS (5437) or call (239) 272-0743. For information on adopting or fostering, call 1-800-89-FAMILY.
