Thief steals appliances while homeowner is on vacation

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the thief who stole appliances from a residence on the 4600 block of 28th St. SW while the homeowner was on vacation.
The victim told officers she returned home on February 27th at 3:00 p.m. to find her bedroom window busted open, and her stove, washing machine and dryer missing. The items were worth a total of $1,900.
The investigation continues.
