ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old homeless man went on a shopping spree after breaking into cars parked outside St. Petersburg fitness centers.
    
Alexander Albacete faces more than a dozen charges, including burglary and fraudulent use of credit cards. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday.
    
The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/YBtIH3 ) reports Albacete used stolen credit cards to spend about $500 at Tyrone Square Mall and gas stations on Feb. 10.
    
Arrests reports indicate that he bought more than $800 worth of items at retail outlets including Macy's, Finish Line, Hollister, Pacific Sun and Walmart on Feb. 16. Three days later, he spent more money on the same day two cars were broken into at Anytime Fitness.
    
Police found victims' credit cards and IDs in his possession.
