CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Police Detectives arrested a 16-year-old Ronald Eugene Ashley IIIon Thursday, in connection with a home invasion robbery on SW 3rd Ave. that happened in January. He allegedly confessed to the crime.
On Tuesday January 29th, the victim was on his patio when two masked subjects stormed his house. The suspects pointed a semi-automatic pistol at him and demanded he open his safe. During the robbery, a struggle ensued and the homeowner was pistol-whipped by one of the suspects.
