LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Helen Iler says she got a call from someone who sounded exactly like her grandson. "He said grandma, I am so embarrassed. I got into a fender bender and the police found some old unpaid tickets. They wont let me go until they are paid". Helen was told to go to Wal-Mart and get a "Green Dot" card and put $1,000 dollars on it. She did and when she received a call back from the man, whom she thought was her grandson, she gave him the code on the back of the card to redeem the cash. Then she got a second call. "They found some more tickets that they didn't have before", the caller said. She was asked to get another 1,000 dollars. She did. Later that day Helen learned her grandson, who is a fireman, was at work all day and did not make the calls.
