Freeze warning issued

DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. - The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning from midnight until 9 a.m. Monday for DeSoto, Highlands and Hardee Counties.
A freeze warning means that freezing temperatures between 27 and 32 degrees are expected with duration of three or more hours. The DeSoto County Emergency Management warns, if you must go outside, wear multiple layers of clothing to help stay warm.
Damage to cold sensitive plants is expected. Officials advise residents to protect cold sensitive plants and livestock.
