PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's undercover Narcotics detectives arrested a Lehigh Acres man Monday after a second Crack Cocaine buy in a Port Charlotte park. Roland Lawrence Williams, 46, of 206 Gateside Street, was arrested for the crime.
On Feb. 4, undercover detectives purchased 1.5 gramsof Crack Cocaine for $150 in three small plastic baggies from Williams at Spring Lake Park. The second drug buy for $200 was made Monday in the same park for 2.1 grams of Crack in four small plastic baggies. Once the transaction was completed, other Narcotics detectives moved in and arrested Williams as he was walking toward his vehicle.
Detectives searched Williams and located 23 small plastic baggies each containing a piece of Crack; total weight was 12.8 grams. Another bag in his pocket had 0.5 grams of Crack, along with the $200 in prerecorded cash, and an additional $265 in another pocket. Williams was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond due to his being a convicted felon with a history of illegal narcotic arrests.
