Blind Pass dredging begins this week

SANIBEL, Fla.- WINK News has learned crews will start dredging Blind Pass on Sanibel Island. The work will start on Friday along the north side of the bridge.

Beach surveys are underway and construction equipment began setting the dredge pipe this week. Approximately 40,000 cubic yards of sand will be removed from the inside of the pass.

The project is expected to last for 45 days.
