FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police made a dramatic arrest today on SR 82, just east of I-75. WINK News was there as several officers on the scene had their guns drawn.

Our reporter on the scene said one woman and two men were taken out of the car with their hands up around 2:30 p.m. They were handcuffed, and one person was placed on the ground.

Police would only confirm it was a felony arrest, stemming from illegal possession of a gun, and that the three individuals were detained. They added that this is part of an ongoing investigation.

One lane of traffic was briefly blocked due to the police activity, but has since re-opened.
