CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Mayor John Sullivan is running for re-election.
Sullivan's term is up in November. He says he is motivated to keep bringing new businesses to the city.
He can't officially register as a candidate until next month, but Sullivan says his work over the past four years speaks for itself.
"We tried to bring fair and equitable government to the citizens of Cape Coral, keep taxes low and keep the services running the way they need to be," says Sullivan.
Sullivan will face off with the father of a wounded veteran. Last September, Dan Ashby announced he's running for mayor. Ashby is the step-father of Corey Kent who was seriously injured while serving in Afghanistan.
