PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A Charlotte County Sheriff's Warrants Unit detective arrested a 17-year-old boy Thursday night at his Port Charlotte home, who is now charged as an adult on 11 felony Cocaine drug charges. The teen was originally arrested Oct. 17 as a juvenile and sent to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Fort Myers.
The State has now decided to charge him as an adult. The boy remains in the Charlotte County Jail on no bond. He is charged in connection with four undercover drug buys by CCSO Narcotics detectives on Sep. 11, 13, 14, and 17, 2012.
The suspect was charged with two counts of Sale and Delivery of Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a School (Port Charlotte Middle School); two counts for Sale and Delivery of Cocaine; four counts of Possession of Cocaine; three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He has six bookings at the Charlotte County Jail.
