PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Police arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Fornaro, a former Charlotter Corrections officer, for allegedly recording sex with a woman he met on Craigslist and broadcasting it online.

The investigation began in September when the victim found the video online. She was not aware that a recording have ever been made and contacted authorities. The victim told police she met Fornaro on Craigslist and agreed to meet him at his residence in Punta Gorda. Once there, she said they talked for about 20 minutes before moving into the bedroom. Before doing so, the victim says she asked Fornaro for $60 to cover the gas for her to get home. He agreed.

After the two had sex, the victim asked Fornaro for the money he had agreed to give her, but he told her he didn't have any cash. He offered her a "shark's tooth" instead, which he said was worth approximately $60. She accepted it and left.

The victim told police that at no point did she see any video recording equipment in Fornaro's bedroom.

A week later, the victim was contacted by her brother who told her he had found a video of her on the internet.

After the victim contacted an attorney, Fornaro apologized to her saying he didn't think she would mind. He told her he would remove the video and allegedly asked her not to pursue criminal charges as he was employed as a corrections officer for the State of Florida.

It was later learned that Fornaro had posted similar videos to the same website in the past.

The investigation continues.
