GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A shelter for pregnant women and single mothers and their children is closing after 30 years in Gainesville.
    
This week, Catholic Charities announced it won't renew its agreement when it expires in March.
    
The Gainesville Sun (http://bit.ly/VbuH0B ) reports two pregnant women and three mothers with small children are currently living at the shelter. Officials at the Arbor House say they won't close until each of the women has found a place to live.
    
The shelter has been struggling since 2010 when it lost two grants that made up about a quarter the $250,000 annual budget. When word got out in 2011, donations helped keep the shelter open.
    
Catholic Charities regional director John Barli says they couldn't come up with "a sustainable stream of donations" to keep Arbor House open.
