FORT MYERS, Fla.– The accolades for Fort Myers-based Norman Love Confections continue to accumulate with the recent addition of O, The Oprah Magazine and NationalGeographic.com to the long list of national recognitions.
The February 2013 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine named NLC to the highly sought-after O List featuring items Publisher Oprah Winfrey feels are noteworthy or that would make a great gift. The Valentine’s Edition O List features a photographic montage, entitled Sweet Hearts, of 69 NLC heart-shaped confections. The publication’s editorial noted, “From aptly named chocolatier Norman Love, these chocolates come in ten varieties and feature ingredients like marshmallow ganache, blackberries and dark chocolate.” O, The Oprah Magazine has a circulation of nearly 2.5 million readers.
In December, NationalGeographic.com recognized Norman Love Confections as one of The 10 Best Chocolatiers in the World. Ranked number five, NLC bested companies based in France, Brussels and Amsterdam. The listing first appeared in the National Geographic-published book, “The 10 Best of Everything” by Nathaniel Lande and Andrew Lande. “I am overwhelmed and humbled by these two national recognitions,” said Chef Norman Love. “It is a true testament of my staff’s dedication to their jobs and striving to be better today than they were yesterday.”
