NAPLES, Fla.- Plans to reopen Clam Pass in Naples are moving forward.

On Friday, a Naples engineering company submitted plans for a 45-foot dredge. It also calls for the removal of 20,000 cubic yards of sand, that will then be used for beach renourishment.

The Pelican Bay Services Division is expected to send this plan to Collier County commissioners for approval on Tuesday. If that happens, leaders think a permit could be issued within the month.
