SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - It's no surprise people living in Sanibel Island are among some of the happiest in the country. Coastal Living Magazine listed it as one of ten of its "Happiest Seaside Towns" of 2013. The locations were chosen based on criteria like well-being index, percentage of sunny days, healthiness of beaches and "coastal vibe."
