Good Samaritan tackles purse thief

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A Tice man helped deputies detain a robbery suspect after he witnessed a purse snatching.
David McNeal says he witnessed the crime while driving down Palm Beach Boulevard near New York Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies say the female victim was walking down the sidewalk and carrying a bag of groceries.
McNeal followed the crook, 36-year old Dominic Griffiths, in his car and tackled him to the ground after throwing him into a power pole.
Griffiths has been charged with robbery by sudden snatching and, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office website, has a history of misdemeanor and felony theft.
