FMPD investigates a stabbing in the Paseo community

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are investigating a stabbing and home invasion in Fort Myers' gated Paseo community, off Daniels Pkwy. It happened just before 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, on Alegria Street.
The victim has not been identified, but authorities say she was transported to the Lee Memorial trauma center for treatment. Her condition is still unknown, but officers say she was alert and communicative when they found her early Wednesday morning.
The suspect is not in custody. It is unknown whether the victim knew her attacker.
