CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Five popular restaurants in Cape Coral have received fraudulent phone calls from dishonest callers, on Friday afternoon, stating they are with LCEC and requesting banking information in order to avoid disconnection of electricity for non-payment.

All LCEC customers should be aware that LCEC never calls and requests personal banking or credit card information over the phone. LCEC recommends that any customer receiving a suspicious call please hang up and call your service provider to verify before giving out any personal information. LCEC suggests getting as much information from the suspicious caller as possible, in prder to report it to authorities.
