86-year-old pedestrian hit and killed on Sunshine Blvd.

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol is confirming a fatality in a pedestrian-involved accident at Sunshine Blvd. and Sixth St. SW in Lehigh Acres. It happened at 6:50 a.m.
Troopers say 86-year-old Belen Segarra was attempting to cross the street when a white Lexus SUV that was traveling northbound on Sunshine Blvd. was unable to see him and he was hit.
Sunshine Blvd. has reopened.
At this time, troopers most likely will not charge the driver since it appears the man was in the roadway.
