BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Starting Tuesday, nearly 50 Olympic and professional athletes and celebrities will tee off at the Colony golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs.

It's all part of a fundraising event for Art of the Olympians. The organization promotes cultural, sports, and educational outreach in Southwest Florida.

Monday morning, some of the athletes took part in a meet and greet breakfast on FGCU campus. There they spoke with more than 200 local student athletes from the university and Lee County high schools. The keynote speaker was gold-, silver-, and bronze-medalist in track & field, Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

Registration for foursomes in the Tuesday's golf tournament is still underway.
