EAST NAPLES, Fla.- East Naples Firefighters are crediting a family dog for alerting its owners to a massive fire that destroyed their storage shed on Friday.

The fire started around 3:30 a.m. at 10950 Greenway Road. Firefighters from East Naples, Isles of Capri and Marco Island quickly brought the fire under control. The fire destroyed the family's shed, several pieces of heavy farming equipment, a horse trailer, commercial lawn equipment, and a car.

The Fire Chief estimated the damage at $150,000.

Although there were several animals on the property none were injured in the fire.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating what may have caused the fire.
