JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Rick Scott wants to double funding for Florida's "quick response" job training program.
    
Scott urged lawmakers to increase the program's annual budget to $12 million on Tuesday in Jacksonville, where he visited the headquarters of a recently merged grocery company.
    
Jacksonville-based Winn-Dixie last year combined with Bi-Lo, another chain headquartered in Greenville, S.C.
    
Scott said the program that tailors training to the needs of employers helped Florida land the merged company's headquarters.
    
The new Bi Low & Winn-Dixie is worth $500 million with 690 grocery stores and 63,000 employees. It's the nation's ninth largest supermarket chain.
