TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A suspended north Florida supervisor of elections is seeking dismissal of charges against her in a voting fraud case.
 
Leon County Judge Augustus Aikens is set Wednesday to hear the request from Jada Woods Williams in Tallahassee.
 
Gov. Rick Scott suspended her as Madison County's top election official after she was charged with neglect of duty and corrupt practices a year ago.
 
Eight other people were charged in the case including school board member Abra "Tina" Johnson, who also was suspended.
 
They were accused of fraudulently obtaining absentee ballots to help Johnson win election in 2010.
 
Williams' case was moved to Leon County at her request. Six defendants, meanwhile, have filed motions to dismiss in Madison. The remaining two defendants resolved their cases through pretrial intervention.
