MARCO ISLAND, Fla - A Marco Island artist is spreading her talent through a very special Veterans project.

Malenda Trick painted portraits of 20 World War II and Vietnam Veterans from Collier County. It took her 46 days to complete the paintings. Now, the project is on display in Marco Island with plans for the exhibit to travel throughout Collier County.

"It has swelled into this wonderful thing and when you read the biographies of the men whose portraits are here, you see why it has swelled, it has nothing to do with me personally, it has to do with them," says Trick.
