LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Local charities say they are behind when it comes to food donations, and they need help. Charities like the Harry Chapin Food Bank and the Nation's Association, as well as the Salvation Army, are in need of turkey donations and canned goods to be able to provide meals families in need.
Officials with the Harry Chapin food bank say they have approximately 10,000 turkeys, but their goal is 15,000. Nation's Association says they are on track with turkeys, but need other essential food items.
