LEE COUNTY, Fla.- In a press conference held Wednesday morning, the Supervisor of Elections, Sharon Harrington, said that any precinct with more than 3,500 registered voters were given two tabulating machines, but WINK News has confirmed that's not true.

At least two precincts that should have had an extra machine, didn't. One of those precincts was precinct 118, off Daniels' Parkway. Voters were snaked around the front of the building. A poll worker there told our reporter on Tuesday that they only had one machine and that's why people were waiting for more than 45 minutes to vote. According to the County Supervisor of Elections website, that precinct has 3,555 registered voters. The other precinct that only had one machine had 4,200 voters.

Sharon Harrington won't talk to us until she's done more research.

When asked if she was going to step down because of this horrific situation, Harrington said, "I don't think I'm going to resign. I don't think we did anything intentional. We did not try to sabotage this election. We did not try to suppress anyone from voting. Voters do have three options."
