NAPLES, Fla. - Some dentist's offices are holding post-Halloween programs that offer to buy back that excess Halloween candy.
In Collier County, Children's Dentistry of Naples will be holding a Cash for Candy event. The office is encouraging children to trade
in their excess Halloween candy treats for cash. The children will be awarded $1.00 for each pound of candy that they donate, up to a maximum of $10.00.
All candies that are collected will then be donated to American troops that are serving overseas. In addition, Children's Dentistry of
Naples will be donating matching funds to the Golisano Children's Museum of Naples.
The collection event will be held at Dr. Gerardo Santiago's Children's Dentistry of Naples office, which is located at 3021 Airport Road
North, Suite #203 in Naples, Florida. The office will be accepting candy on November 1st from 8:00 A.M. through noon, and also from 2:00 P.M. through 4:00 P.M.

The dental office of Dr. Thomas P. Hale, 9180 Galleria Court, Suite 100, Naples, is also hosting its a Halloween candy buy-back program from 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 1.
Excess candy will be purchased for $1 per pound up to five pounds and will be sent to the troops through Operation Gratitude and to the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
In Lee County, Bonita Dental Care will be paying $2.00 per pound for individually wrapped Halloween Candy this year. The office is located at 8951 Bonita Beach Rd., Suite 206, Bonita Springs, FL. (located inside Springs Plaza next to Mel's Barber Shop).
The candy collected will be donated and sent to Operation Gratitude for the enjoyment of our troops both here and abroad. The office also will be collecting items requested from the "wish list" located at www.operationgratitude.com.
Bonita Dental Care will have games and goody bags for the kid's and encourage them to wear their costumes. There will be coloring pages, crayons and paper and pens if they would like to write thank you notes to the troops which will be included and sent with the candy and donated items.
