Crews respond to fatal accident on Prosperity Way

FORT MYERS, Fla.- On Tuesday at 2:39 p.m., the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Prosperity Way within the Colonial Country Club neighborhood.
Upon arrival, police located one male victim that suffered fatal injuries.
A preliminary investigation reveals that the driver of a rented moving truck backed-up and accidentally ran-over the pedestrian.
The driver and the deceased are known acquaintances.
The pedestrian has been identified as 71-year-old Robert Morgan of Fort Myers.
The driver has been identified as 52-year-old Ricky Diehl of Fort Myers.
