PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit detectives are asking the public for information about an armed robber, and a white pickup possibly involved in a Monday morningarmed robberyin Port Charlotte.
CCSO received a call at 10:00 a.m.of the armed robbery at We Buy Gold & Diamonds. The owner said a man entered his business with a revolver and demanded money. The robber then left on foot toward the rear of the building. Deputies, detectives, K9 and the CCSO helicopter responded but were unable to locate the subject.
The owner described the robber as a white male, 5’-6” to 5’-7” tall, about 130 pounds, wearing a gray skullcap with cut eye holes, green Army camouflage pants, and a long-sleeve gray shirt. Just before the robber entered the store, afull-size white pickupexited from between the buildings.
