CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is seeking tips on the whereabouts of two alleged drug trafficking suspects wanted by the feds, both with ties to Charlotte County.
Authorities said George “Tommy” Capps, 36, and Michael Cristello, 44, are suspecting of moving more than $6.5 million in marijuana through the state of Florida. Crime Stoppers said both men have federal arrest warrants out of the Middle District of Florida for the charge of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana.
Detectives say both men have family and friends in Charlotte and Sarasota Counties, as well as the Florida Keys.
Anyone with information on Capps or Cristello is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All tips are anonymous, and callers could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting CRIMES (274637) with the keyword REWARD.
