FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 2-month investigation ends with thousands of dollars worth of drugs and firearms removed from city streets.

On Friday October 12, 2012 at 2:43 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department’s Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT conducted a search in the 2900 block of Montclair Avenue.

The investigation stemmed from a two month long investigation initiated by detectives. 

Police seized 3.2 grams of suspected “crack” cocaine, 9.7 grams of cocaine Hcl, 14.4 grams of MDMA, 77 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and drug cooking materials.

The drugs have an estimated street value of about $3,000.

Police also seized three firearms to include a Ruger 257 magnum handgun, Firestorm 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a Taurus 45 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Police arrested Clinnie Taylor, 42 of Fort Myers for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school and possession of cocaine.

More arrests are pending after further investigation.

In addition, FMPD officers conducted a “buy bust” drug operation targeting street level drug dealers. 

Undercover officers posed as purchasers of illegal drugs in various areas of the City.

As a result of the operation police arrested the following people: Eddie Jackson (d.o.b. 11/12/62) was arrested for sale and possession of cocaine.Billy Coleman (d.o.b. 02/25/82) was arrested for sale and possession of cocaine.Nicholas Campbell (d.o.b. 01/25/87) was arrested for sale and possession of cocaine within 1000 feet of a school.Kotoyia Johnson (d.o.b. 06/22/82) was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.Chanel Hall (d.o.b. 05/21/84) was arrested for sale and possession of cocaine.
