LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The FGCU Athletics Department has just confirmed star sophomore for the women's basketball team, Whitney Knight, is done for the season.

Knight tore her ACL in a pre-season workout last week.

Head coach Karl Smesko said, "This injury is a setback for Whitney and our team."

"We definitely were expecting big things from her this season," Smesko continued.

Knight came off the bench last season, earning all-freshman honors, and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
